We've put together a list of questions we are most commonly asked about our application process - the information you need may be listed below. Please review the topics below before attempting to reach out to our team.  


I've submitted an application, what's next?

  • How do I check the status of my application?
    • You can check the status of your application at any time - select the 'Already applied? Log In' button on the top right hand side of the page. You will notice next to each job you have applied for, a status with a short message indicating any updates on how your application is progressing.


  •  Want to know how your application is progressing after attending an Interview?
    • You will be notified via email on the outcome of your Interview. If you have not yet heard from us, please be patient as we are often working through large volumes of interviews and it can take some time to update you after an interview.


  • I've submitted an 'Expression of Interest', when will I be notified of a vacancy?
    • Unfortunately we can't give you a timeframe as to when you will be notified of a vacancy, as this depends upon when your preferred stores have a vacancy and the number of other applicants in your location. Please note this is not a job application, but a registration process so we can notify you of future vacancies.
    • TIP: the more store preferences you list in your 'Expression of Interest' the more likely a position will become available. 


  • I want to unsubscribe to notifications and emails, how can I do this?
    • Unfortunately you are unable to self-serve however our support team can help you out here. Simply send us an email via the contact form below and we will review and unsubscribe you from future notifications.



How do I apply?

  1.     Our Stores    
    • Team Members
        • Register your interest by creating an 'Expression of Interest' that way we know what stores you are interested in, when you are available and if you have any department preferences. We can then use this information to let you know if any opportunities become available that match your needs!
        • TIP: Make sure you keep your details up to date and let us know that you are still interested by logging into your account every 6 weeks.
    • Store Management & Trades
        • We advertise all of our Store Management & Trades jobs on our website. Visit our Job Search page to view our current vacancies. You can also create a 'Job mail' account so we can send you email notifications if any positions become available.
    • New Store Openings
        • Register your interest by creating an 'Expression of Interest', new stores are available to be selected six months out from the store opening, if it's not available to select simply select the stores nearby and that way we will let you know when we start the recruitment process for the new store.
    • Store Support
      • We advertise all our store support positions on our website. Visit our Job Search page to view our current vacancies you can also create a 'Job mail' account so we can send you email notifications if any positions become available.
      • TIP: Stay up to date with what's happening at Coles by following our LinkedIn page.

Account Queries

  • How do I reset my password?
        • Click 'Log in' on the top right hand side of the menu bar, select 'Don't know your password?' then enter your email address. We will send you an email with a link and code so you can reset your password.


Working Requirements

  • What are the minimum age requirements? 
      • The minimum age of employment varies depending on the State in which you live, as it is based on State or Territory legislation.
      • For accurate information we recommend you refer to the Fair Work Australia website.
      • Please note we also have a number of roles within our Coles Liquor, Coles Services, Coles Express and Coles Online team that have further restrictions on are based on the requirements of the role.              
  • Your Working Rights
      • We are required by law to obtain documentation to confirm your entitlement to work in Australia. We request this information in the application process and if you are selected for an interview you will need to bring along original documentation for sighting. The following documents will be accepted:
            • Australian or International Passport or
            • Australian Birth Certificate and Photo ID or
            • Australian Citizenship Certificate and Photo ID.
