Finding a Job and Applying
Will I receive confirmation of my application?
Yes. You will receive an email that confirms receipt of your application within 24 hours of applying. You can then sign in as an existing applicant to our job search service to check the progress of your application.
If you do not receive a confirmation email from us within 24 hours of submitting your application, please check that the email address you used on your application form is accurate. If you have not entered a valid email address we will not be able to contact you.
Why have I received an email saying my application is incomplete?
You will receive an email indicating your application is incomplete if all mandatory fields of the application form have not been filled in. You may also receive this email if you have not clicked the “submit” button on the final page of the application form.
Please log back into your application, complete all required fields and click the “submit” button to ensure your application is considered.
Can I apply for a job via mail or fax?
Coles utilises an online application process for all Store Support Centre vacancies. This process ensures that our recruitment centre receives all the required information from you to ensure you are given full consideration for the role.
What if I have trouble sending my application?
Firstly, check that your Internet connection is still working, and that the problem is not a technical issue with the computer you are using.
If this is not the case, please contact the Recruitment Centre on 1800 170 947 for assistance.
Do I need to submit a cover letter with my application?
Whilst a cover letter is not mandatory, we strongly recommend including this in your application. If you include a cover letter, ensure that it is tailored for your application, highlighting all relevant experience and skills you possess
Can I include other documents with my application?
The application form will provide you with the opportunity to include a limited number of additional documents. This function can be used to include documents such as university results, written references and any other documents applicable to your application.
The Application and Selection Process
How long will the recruitment process take?
We endeavour to ensure our recruitment process runs smoothly and efficiently at all times. However, due to the large interest we receive and the fact we consider each application individually, it can sometimes take a little while for us to respond to you. We will respond to all candidates regarding their application whether you have been successful or not, generally either via telephone or email. You can check the progress of your application at any time by logging into your account.
How do I check the progress of my application?
You can check the progress of your application at anytime by logging in to the Coles Careers website as an existing applicant. On this site you can also withdraw your application if you have changed your mind, update your personal details or change your password

Will I need to attend an interview?
Should your application be selected you will be contacted by the relevant recruitment consultant to schedule an interview.
Unfortunately we are unable to interview all candidates that apply. If you are not selected for interview, we welcome you to apply for other opportunities available at Coles that match your skills and experience.
My Details
How do I change my password?
Once you have applied for a job, you can change your password by signing in as an existing applicant, and clicking on Change Password.
I have forgotten my password. What can I do?
If you've forgotten your password, click on Forgotten Password on the login page where you will be prompted with your "Secret Question" that you entered when you created your account. When you answer this correctly you will then be sent an email with your new password.
Can I update my personal details?
Yes. Once you've applied for a job, sign in as an existing applicant, select your personal details and update them.
