Assessment Centre

  • Do some background research on Coles - what has been said about us in the news recently?
  • Visit at least one of our stores before the group assessment, and think about how your area of study impacts on the store environment and operation.
  • Be prepared to have discussions, meet new people and talk in front of small groups.
  • You are not competing against the other candidates; focus on team work rather than winning.
  • It’s what you say that counts, not how much you say.
  • If you generally get nervous speaking in front of others, it may be a good idea to practice your presentation skills before the assessment centre.
  • Ask any questions that may help you prepare for the next stage of the interview process.
